This Photo appeals to me because the Kennecott mine in Utah is similar to this. Also just The shape/ the technique they use to mine is really cool.

New York Times Photos
This Photograph emotionally impacts me the most because it reminds me of the world cup and shows just how huge soccer is in Brazil. It is amazing how the photographer was able to get a picture of so many soccer balls in the air at once. Its crazy to think that there were probably hundreds more on the ground.
Jumping photos
Long exposure
The first one I used a shutter speed of 1 second and took a picture of sprinkles falling. |
The second one is of my coworker walking while behind the counter.(2 sec shutter speed) |
The Third one is of me swirling yogurt. (2 sec shutter speed) |

The first Photo is a of a man standing in front of tanks blocking their path. This act of nonviolent protest is an example for people everywhere. One of the main reasons why this photo is so inspiring is because the distance from which the image was taken show just how massive the tanks are in comparison to the lone man.
The second photo depicts African American hopelessly being sprayed as they are pressed up against the wall. This image is very powerful because it shows the lengths their attackers would go in attempt to suppress the changing policies regarding discrimination.
The last image is a very famous American photo. This photo is powerful because it shows the raising of the American flag after a long fought battle. It depicts the heroism and fatigue of war in one photo.

Mornings
I chose a lighting that was underneath my eyes to highlight a exhausted look. I also chose a simple background.
Shower
I chose lighting that was directly on the face to highlight the eyes. For the background I had a plain wall. One thing that I would like to change is making the background blurred.
